Who's Rodgmont?
The beginning
There’s a question that followed me for years: why build if you don’t understand the problem?
I don’t start with theory. I start with a real, concrete problem—often personal—and then look for the right tool. Sometimes it’s code. Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s writing to organize ideas.
My name is Fran Rodgmont. I’m an engineer, a builder, and—according to the people who know me—someone who thinks out loud a bit too much.
What do I do?
I build software. But more than that, I build systems that solve things.
- Software engineering → architecture, backend, performance
- Product → why does this exist? who uses it?
- Open source → I believe in building in public
